Hello ServerFault Community, IBM Cloud recommended way is to upgrade any OS via OS reload method.

When we tried OS reload, everything was reset like a clean installation.

In-place upgrade suits us, but afterwards, some attributes are unchanged on IBM device portal, like Image information does not reflect updated OS, see: OS image info

Regardless of any attributes changes on iBM device portal, I did an in-place upgrade and tried IBM support to change Image info but all in vain.

Is there any way via IBM Api's to change OS info on IBM Device portal.

Help!!

  • I think the cloud portal does not assess the systems under it's scope of management as often as you need. You should contact IBM Cloud support to address this.
