I am following an environment set up (https://davidplopez.com/software-revolt/mac-os-dev-setup#Chapter7) that is intended for macOS but I am using Windows. I have already opted to use WSL and Bash instead of Zsh and am attempting to mimic the set up on my Windows computer. However, there is a section for setting up the .zshrc file that I want to mimic with a .bashrc file but am not sure how. Specifically, there is a section about adding plugins so that (I believe) the libraries/plugins are immediately added to the Zsh shell which I wanted to do for Bash but I do not know how to. Can anyone help me?

Getting Windows WSL to become MacOS, sigh, and bash to become zsh is like asking how to run your Tesla on diesel. Really, please don’t.

But why read a zsh tutorial if you want to use bash? Zsh works fine on wsl.

  • for me, it's plenty offtopic, no business related question or issue in here

  • I am new to StackExchange and did not realize this was on a specific section. Thank you for your feedback!
